Suji Cookies Recipe
A good Chinese cookie recipe for the kids. Sweet and tasty flavor accompanied by a crispy outer texture proves to be well accepted by everyone. An all around recommended recipe if you are wondering what type of cookie you will be planning for today.
Ingredients A
¼ tsp Ammonia
1 tsp Baking soda
275 Plain flour
1 tsp Baking powder
90g Icing sugar
¼ tsp Salt
Ingredients B
50g Almond powder (Toasted for 3 mins)
175g Ghee
Glaze
1 Egg yolk (mixed with 1 tsp water, strained)
Method
1. Mix Ammonia with 2 teaspoon of water. Sift the remaining ingredients in A.
2. Combine almond powder and ghee with the ammonia mixture, then mix well with the sifted mixture into dough and set aside to proof for 1 hour.
3. Divide dough into small balls and plae them on a baking tray.
4. Preheat oven to 150° C, lace the tray of dough balls in and bake for 15 minutes. Remove and glaze with egg wash, then continue baking for 5 minutes.
Tips
Choose medium gluten flour (plain flour) when making cookies for a better texture.
